Steps of Esd Application

Why is Esd approval necessary? To stay in Malaysia for business purposes, Esd application must be successful. A foreign shareholder is not permitted to stay in Malaysia for an extended period of time as a visitor. Authorities do not grant stay permission after establishing a business unless the Esd application is accepted. To apply for an Esd, you must have the following:

1. Three months bank statements
2. Required paid-up capital is 500,000 for the entire foreign owner, 350,000 for the joint foreign and Malaysian owner, and 250,000 for the local Malaysian owner.
3. Office rental agreemeent (except coworking and virtual office rent) 
4. Signboard, Premise and other business license copy
5. Pictures inside, outside of the office
6. Epf copy of the local staff
7. Land phone bill copy 
8. Company profile 
9. Financial forcusting 
10. Financial statemnt (not required for new entity)
11. Justification letter 
12. Employees projection
13. Other relevant ministry or department approval (depend on business activity)
14. Letter of employment 

Why should I register in Esd ?

Ans:- In order to apply for a permission to stay in Malaysia after your company is opened, you must register with Esd using the following instructions.

How long does it takes to be completed ?

Ans:-Usually, it takes around 1-2 months, it mioght be longer base on fill up the requirements.

What can I do after Esd approval?

Ans:- You will be permitted to stay in Malaysia minimum 2 years in order to conduct business. Additionally, family members will be allowed to bring as dependents.

Can I do business without Esd application? 

Yes, you can open buisness and operate it as a tourist althought you are holding shares of the company and director as well.
